Edith sent a series of various items: some vintage placemats, a picture of her as a young girl, her baby shoes, some lace her grandmother had made for her years ago and a fan her father had given her when he was stationed in the Orient with the Army. She wanted them all represented and this was the result.

Lakshmi
Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of prosperity, wealth, money, luck and good fortune. Judy loved Lakshmi so she sent me a picture of Lakshmi and wanted to have some type of shrine made from the picture.
I made a 3 dimensional gold sprayed arch to go around the picture and added "gold" coins all around the arch. Above Lakshmi's head is a "diamond" tiara and in the center of the heart is a "ruby". At the top of the arch is a "silver" dollar sign that came from a money clip. All about wealth!

Joe sent me a picture of himself when he first started working at the job he had held for over 36 years. He also sent an old work glove that he had used on that job. The picture is a bit blurry as it was taken with one of those old Brownie box cameras. He wanted to have both the glove and the picture together as a memory of the time he had spent on the job.
